Fort Lauderdale (FL) Alumni Puts in the "work"
For over 70 years, the chapter continues to be a beacon of light to the community it serves. The chapter's footprint and impact has a positive influence in Broward County.
In 2023, Brother Wendy L. Pognon was elected as the 32nd Chapter Polemarch, succeeding Brother Kevin White.
The chapter focuses on mentorship, volunteerism and philanthropy, aiming to positively influence the lives of young men in the area.
The chapter, in conjunction with the Achievement Foundation of Fort Lauderdale, awarded $30,000 in scholarships to eight graduating Kappa League seniors, supporting their higher education pursuits.

2026 White Hot Weekend
This is a "can't miss"! Combining the Artis "Jack" Hall Golf Tournament with our popular White Hot Party, April 10, has become a South Florida staple. The event take place at the beautiful Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Award-Winning Kappa League
Our Kappa League celebrates our 20th year. The program selects male students, grades 7th-12th. Over $500,000 in scholarships have been awarded to Kappa Leaguers.
2026 AJH Golf Klassic
The Achievement Foundation and Jacaranda Golf Club hosts the 24th Artis "Jack" Hall Golf Tournament on April 11 at Woodmont Golf Course. Proceeds support scholarships to our Kappa League students.
Frat Fridays
Every 3rd Friday at the Kappa House, we fraternize, from 6p - 11p. All the Nupes say, "YO"
Annual Retreat
Chapter Retreats have grown into a signature event. In August at the Sheraton Suites, the chapter got off to an organized start with good planning, commitment and execution.
Social Events

Kappa House Foundation
Fort Lauderdale Kappa House Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to obtaining, funding and maintaining a new fraternity house for the chapter. Learn more at www.flkh.org
Community Outreach
The chapter received the 2025 Reclamation Chapter of the Year award from the Southern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. This accolade highlights our consistent efforts in organizing and growing our membership initiatives.
Health & Wellness
The health of black men are a focal point for the chapter. The chapter's active participation in run/walk distance races and organized chapter beach run/walks have made an impact.

Fort Lauderdale Alumni meets every 1st Saturday at the Kappa House located at 707 NW 22nd Road, Fort Lauderdale, 33111. The remaining chapter meetings for the 2025 fraternal year are: February 1; March 1; April 5; May 3; June 7.
